Diego P. F. Trindade has joined us from the University of Tartu (Estonia) with a postdoctoral fellowship funded by the Estonian Research Council. Our collaborative research seeks to examine how the species pool influences the stability of plant communities. Specifically, we are testing how functional redundancy at both the local and species pool levels contributes to buffering communities against environmental change. By combining long-term vegetation data with trait-based approaches, we aim to understand the mechanisms that promote stability in plant communities worldwide.
