Currently we are colaborating with the Centre per a la Investigació i l’Experimentació Forestal (CIEF) in the context of the LIFE Teixeres project. Specifically, we are measuring several traits in yews cultivated from seeds of different populations in natural parks of the Valencian Community. We will later assess if there are differences in performance between natural populations and artificial populations, which are hybrids derived from nearby populations. In this way, we will determine if hybridation of close populations is an appropiate conservation strategy for this species.
