This month, postdoc Héctor Miranda has joined our team for the next year. Héctor comes after completing his PhD and a two-year postdoc at the Pyrenean Ecology Institute (IPE-CSIC) working on BIOTREND, gathering and organising population trend data for both animals and plants across Spain. Here he will be helping to improve and organise LOTVS database, as well as some other seed datasets from CIEF.
On the other hand, we are sad to anounce that Helena is leaving CIDE this week and will return to Brazil to continue her postdoctoral research. We will miss her greatly and hope she had a rewarding experience working at CIDE.
